Grand Ballroom

The Grand Ballroom I, II and III are a group of three medium-sized, interconnecting conference rooms on the second floor.  They measure 45 x 22 x 5.4 meters (920 square metres) and features a cathedral of wood and bronze, with details reflecting the geometric designs of Shanghai’s Art Deco heritage, making it the ideal setting for the grandest of metropolitan events.  The Grand Ballroom is the largest of the hotel's event venues and can be used in any combination, either individually, in pairs or with all three opened into a larger space for up to 792 people for a seated dinner, or 1200 people for a cocktail party.  For conferences, the Grand Ballroom can hold up to 1192 people theatre style, 645 classroom style and 174 u-shape style.

Crystal Ballroom
The Crystal Ballroom I, II and III are a group of three medium-sized, interconnecting rooms also on the second floor.  It is our second large ballroom measuring 31.2 x 21.4 x 5.4 meters (665 square metres).  Dramatic chandeliers help create an atmosphere of grandeur, making this an ideal venue for special celebrations.  The Crystal Ballroom can be used in any combination, either individually, in pairs or with all three opened into a larger space for up to 480 people for a seated dinner, or 800 people for a cocktail party.  For conferences, the Crystal Ballroom can hold up to 720 people theatre style, 405 classroom style and 138 u-shape style.

 

Conference Rooms

Located on the ground floor, our two conference rooms measure 12.5 x 16 x 3.0 meters (208 square metres) and provide event organisers with flexible space for up to 144 people for a seated dinner, 180 people for a cocktail party, 180 people for a theatre style conference, 120 people for a classroom style conference, 40 people for a u-shape style conference, or 40 people for board style conference.

 

Pisces & Aries

Located on the second floor, these two event venues measure 16 x 8 x 2.5 meters (124 square metres) and can be connected with each other for press briefings, breakout sessions and smaller group meetings.

 

Libra

Located on the second floor, the event venue measures 8 x 6 x 2.5 meters (45 square metres) and provides event organisers with flexible space for press briefings, breakout sessions and smaller group meetings.

Taurus

Located on the second floor, the event venue measures 8 x 7 x 2.5 meters (55 square metres) and provides event organisers with flexible space for press briefings, breakout sessions and smaller group meetings.

Gemini

Located on the second floor, the event venue measures 8 x 8 x 2.5 meters (65 square metres) and provides event organisers with flexible space for press briefings, breakout sessions and smaller group meetings.

 

Drawing Rooms
Located on the second floor, our two drawing rooms offer distinct event environments.  Drawing Room I measures 11 x 6 x 2.5 meters (55 square metres) and is recommended for cocktail parties, aperitifs or after-dinner cigars.  Drawing Room II measures 16 x 5 x 3.2 meters (80 square metres).  With its lively street-level views and natural daylight, it is recommended for lunches and dinner parties.



Boardroom
Equipped with a 12-seat conference table and top-level audiovisual facilities.  Measuring 6 x 9.6 x 2.5 meters (50 square metres), the Boardroom is the ideal venue for smaller group meetings.

Polaris
Located on the 53rd floor, Polaris measures 10 x 5.8 x 2.5 meters (58 square metres) and is a private “room with a view”, which offers telephone and video conferencing capabilities and a stately 20-seat table wired with computer data ports and microphones.  The views astound both during daytime meetings and nighttime private dining.  Coffee breaks are held next door at the stylish Piano Bar.

Business Centre Meeting Room

Located on the 54th floor, the meeting room of the Business Centre measures 15 square metres. Equipped with an eight-seat conference table and top-level audiovisual facilities, the meeting room is the ideal venue for smaller group meetings.

Grand Club Meeting Room

Located on the 83rd floor, the meeting room of Grand Club measures 40 square metres with an independent washroom. Equipped with a ten-seat conference table and top-level audiovisual facilities, the meeting room is the ideal venue for smaller group meetings. This meeting room is available for Grand Club guests only and includes an exclusive benefit for one hour’s complimentary use.

A high speed ‘always on’ Internet connection is available in all conference rooms, providing Internet browsing, e-mail access and video streaming capabilities.

Wireless Connectivity
Wireless connectivity is available throughout the hotel. This infrastructure is especially useful for mobile users, wireless Internet kiosks and product demonstrations.

Video Conferencing
Three dedicated ISDN lines enable us to set up video conferencing to anywhere in the world on short notice.
